Questions and Answers
How do you interact with Facility Managers?
I’ve found that building strong, collaborative relationships with Facility Managers is key. I try to approach every interaction with honesty, quick follow-up, and a problem-solving mindset. Whether it’s walking a site, reviewing scope details, or working through a service challenge, my goal is to make sure the Facility Manager feels supported and confident in the partnership.
Tell us about a favorite project related to working with a Facility Manager.
One of my favorite projects was a large building in Center City Philadelphia. The Facility Manager had a clear vision for improving cleanliness and the tenant experience, but we were working against a very tight timeline and multiple stakeholders. We teamed up to build a customized staffing plan, focused training, and a solid communication process. The collaboration went smoothly, and seeing everything come together successfully was a great feeling.
What is your greatest success story related to working with Facility Managers?
My greatest success story has been growing my industry knowledge through working alongside Facility Managers on a variety of projects. As my career in sales has developed, I’ve become more confident in identifying solutions and helping managers overcome their biggest service challenges. Knowing that my support contributes to a cleaner, healthier environment for tenants and staff is something I’m truly proud of.
Tell us about a challenge or obstacle that you faced working with a Facilities Manager and how you overcame it.
Early in my career, I worked with a Facility Manager who dealt with inconsistent service from past providers and was understandably hesitant about making a change. It took time, consistent communication, and showing accountability to earn their trust. I made it a point to be visible, provide updates, and show measurable progress. Eventually, the relationship turned into one of mutual trust and respect, and it reinforced how important persistence and transparency are when building strong client partnerships.
What is something that most people do not know about you?
Something most people don’t know about me is that I love to travel. I’ve been fortunate to visit Australia, explore a few islands, and travel to Italy a couple of times. I’ve also traveled to most of the states along the East Coast, and my goal is to explore more of the West Coast in the future. Experiencing different cultures and places is something I truly enjoy.
