Towable Solutions
Andreas Duerr is the owner and operator of Towable Systems, a restroom trailer and cold storage trailer rental business serving commercial, industrial, and event-based facilities throughout the region. With a strong background in operations-driven businesses, Andreas brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to temporary infrastructure challenges.
He built the business with a clear focus on reliability, responsiveness, and ease of use for Facility Managers who need fast, dependable, and cost effective solutions during renovations, emergencies, special events, or capacity constraints. Rather than simply providing equipment, Andreas works closely with Facility Managers to understand site logistics, utilities, timelines, and compliance considerations to ensure deployments are seamless and stress-free.
The company specializes in high-quality restroom trailers and temperature-controlled cold storage trailers that operate on 110V/15A (Standard Outlet) designed to fit almost anywhere and support uninterrupted operations while maintaining cleanliness, comfort, and efficiency. Clients include commercial property managers, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, municipalities, restaurants, and event venues.
Known for a customer-first mindset, strong communication, and attention to detail, Andreas takes pride in being a reliable partner Facility Managers can trust when temporary infrastructure is critical to keeping operations running smoothly.
How do you interact with Facility Managers?
I interact with Facility Managers as a hands-on partner focused on making their jobs easier. That means clear communication, quick response times, and understanding site-specific needs
like access, power, water, drainage, and traffic flow. My goal is to eliminate uncertainty by planning thoroughly and executing smoothly, so Facility Managers can focus on the bigger
picture while knowing the temporary solution is handled.
Tell us about a favorite project related to working with a Facility Manager.
One of my favorite projects involved supporting a Facility Manager at a health rehabilitation center during a renovation of their walk-in freezer, when temporary cold storage was required to maintain operations. We coordinated with the Facility Manager to ensure kitchen staff had uninterrupted access throughout the project. The success came from close collaboration and advance planning, and the Facility Manager was able to complete the renovation without complaints or operational disruptions.
What is your greatest success story related to working with Facility Managers?
Some of my greatest success stories come from urgent situations, such as plumbing or walk-in freezer/refrigerator failures or last-minute capacity issues. In several cases, Facility Managers needed a reliable solution immediately to keep their facilities operational. Being able to deploy restroom or cold storage trailers quickly, meet compliance requirements, and maintain occupant comfort helped prevent downtime and escalation. Earning repeat calls from those Facility Managers has been the strongest indicator of success.
Tell us about a challenge or obstacle that you faced working with a Facilities Manager and how you overcame it.
A challenge I’ve encountered is working within tight or unconventional site constraints, such as limited space, restricted access, or utility limitations. In one situation, a Facility Manager was unsure whether a trailer solution would even be possible. By walking the site together, discussing alternatives, and adjusting layout and hookups, we identified a solution that worked within the constraints while meeting operational needs. Collaboration and flexibility were key to overcoming the obstacle.
What is something that most people do not know about you?
Most people don’t know that I’ve spent much of my career building and operating service-based businesses that require strong logistics, planning, and customer coordination. That background has shaped how I approach this business, I think beyond the equipment and focus heavily on execution, reliability, and problem-solving.
What learning experience would you pass on to future facility managers?
I would encourage future Facility Managers to plan for temporary infrastructure before it becomes an emergency. Having trusted partners in place ahead of time makes unexpected situations far less stressful. Proactive planning and strong vendor relationships allow Facility Managers to respond confidently and keep operations running smoothly, even when challenges arise.
